Arado Aero Inc. was established in 1989 when founder, Chuck Teschke, a helicopter mechanic, recognized the benefit of
a mobile, on site, aircraft structural repair and modification service. At the time, specialized aircraft maintenance services,
like structural repair and modification , were only available in larger centres, at fixed base facilities. An operator, usually
while performing routine non specialized maintenance events, would find a structural defect. They would have to "throw"
the aircraft back together to fly it into the city to have the necessary specialized repairs completed. The question was asked
"why can't the specialized service come to the aircraft?" The aircraft was already in a hangar, other maintenance was ongoing
and could continue. Sure there would be some costs involved with this new approach, but there were still considerable savings
over the alternative. Savings in time and money.
Now, the notion of someone loading a few tools into a truck once in a while, and heading out to a repair job, was nothing
new, but no one was doing it as their primary service and on a regular basis, and really, thats how it started. In the early
years there were some pretty crappy trucks, less tools, but the service was top notch. Over the years Arado has "honed"
its service to its "sharpest" and most efficient. Specialized truck, more tools and supplies than most fixed shops, and 25 years
of experience. Nobody does it better!
